Family day with Maskin & Mekan
When Maskin & Mekan celebrated its 30th anniversary, they wanted to do something special for the people who matter most - employees, customers, suppliers, partners and their families.
With our help, the facility in Räppe outside Växjö was transformed into a real party.
Background information
Maskin & Mekan is a contracting company that, among other things, works with land and construction work and the rental of machines with drivers. The company has a long tradition of hosting family days, something that owner Martin Sjöberg is passionate about. But as the 30th anniversary approached, they wanted to do something much bigger than before. Something that would leave a mark.
The aim was to create a day that both celebrated the company's history and strengthened its brand, while involving the whole network - from community representatives to employees' grandchildren.
The solution
Contrast was commissioned to plan and implement the anniversary. Preparations started a year in advance, and when the day arrived, ten hectares of land were transformed into an amusement park for both young and old guests.
A day of experiences for everyone:
- ACTIONLAND - machine show, test drive and trial run
- TRAKTISLAND - bouncy castles, bingo, fishing pond, arcade games, dancing games, craft corner, Lego building, electric digger and simulators
- Helicopter tours over the area
- VETERANEXPO - exhibition of vintage machinery
- MASKINEXPO - with a number of the company's construction machines
- Food & drink - coffee, lunch, drinks and ice cream in bulk
- Round-trip and tractor trains with restaurant cars, built by Maskin & Mekan themselves
- Live broadcast on large screens with Jörgen Sjöberg as host and Erik Ekstrand as flying reporter
- Live music with Rydell & Quick
A large group of volunteers contributed to the welcoming atmosphere as they handed out programs, caps (much sought after!) and made sure guests were comfortable.
The result
Already on arrival, comments were heard like: "There's so much to choose from, we don't know where to start!" And that's exactly how the day turned out: full of energy, activities and community.
More than 1300 people attended the event, where play, nostalgia and technology took place.
For Maskin & Mekan, the result of the family day was a successful way to create awareness of the business and at the same time strengthen its brand. For employees, customers, partners and the local community, as well as for current and future generations.
