Digital group meeting for Växjö Energi

When Växjö Energi first tried to hold its annual conference in digital format, many were surprised by the benefits of digital meetings.

I didn't think that SO much interaction was possible!"

The Group Days are an annual event where Växjö Energi gathers its staff to discuss current issues, set milestones and create positive energy for the future. When meeting restrictions in the spring of 2020 forced the company to hold its annual conference in a digital format, many were surprised by the benefits of digital meetings.

For the 2020 annual conference, Växjö Energi had planned to raise its ambitions even further. The main goals that permeate the meeting every year - to convey current information, chart the way forward and strengthen the internal brand - were of course still there, but now they also wanted to focus on increased collaboration between the departments. Växjö Energi's Group Days usually last for two full days, but as a digital event we compressed the meeting into one full day with a total of 4 hours of effective broadcast time.

SOLUTION. We built our basic idea on live broadcasting in a morning TV format. The content work followed proven dramaturgy to captivate participants and keep them engaged. We also fine-tuned each speaker's script and energized the presentations with different types of elements, including videos and interaction with participants. A moderator led the broadcast like a TV presenter, conducting interviews with each speaker.

In the run-up to the Group meeting, we had produced a number of videos aimed at increasing staff knowledge about all areas of the company's work. In preparation, all participants had also downloaded an app that was used to ask anonymous questions, take part in competitions and share their opinions in various polls. Between the conference sessions, health expert Leila Söderholm held a much-appreciated breakout session.
