Planning an event: why the content producer is as important as good food and entertainment
A good content producer combines skills in journalistic storytelling, people skills and marketing. We will be a safe guide in the preparation of your conference or event. I thought I'd take this opportunity to share why a good content producer is just as important as good catering and fun entertainment at your next customer or employee event.

I started working as a content producer in the events industry in the early 2000s. Back then, the term was barely even invented. Slowly but surely, more of us have become involved in creating effective storytelling in B2B events, and during the pandemic, there has been a breakthrough that is hopefully here to stay. The time when the CEO threw together a self-made power point on the plane to the event is now stone age.

Content producer presents content in formats that reach everyone
What is our contribution? The short answer is that we help you present your content in a format that suits the YouTube generation and of course everyone who grew up with TV. The old way; giving all speakers 45 minutes each to tell freely, reading from about 100 Powerpoint slides, actually has more similarities with school teaching from the last century than with modern storytelling, so it's almost a miracle that it is still alive in 2022.
The feeling is as important as the message
We do a thorough research of what you want to convey to your customers or employees. We then suggest a range of different ways to present the message. Should it be a movie, an interview, a sketch? Here, too, it is very much about helping our clients to limit the content to something that our human brains are actually capable of perceiving for one or two days. We also try to let the emotion carry the message. By that we mean that engagement is largely created through the wordless. Equally important, or perhaps more important, than the words of the message is the tone and the feeling of what is said. In short, we put the participants' experience at the center.
The content producer creates a common thread in the storytelling
Like the editor of a newsroom, the content producer has an overall view of what all the contributors are conveying. We steer away from repetition and create a common thread in the story. With good arguments, we help speakers understand that ten minutes of well-written and professionally packaged content often says more than 45-minute draws.
Result: Entertaining, team-building event that gets the message across
It is always wonderful to see the reactions of our clients who have dared to add a content producer to the event budget. The meeting attendees are usually ecstatic. Suddenly, even conference sessions are entertaining and team-building. Not just a necessary evil to get through before the food and entertainment. Initially skeptical clients usually become repeat customers.
In my case, I usually combine my work as a content producer with acting as a moderator. As an outsider, I bring what I like to call "an external eye of appreciation". The participants on stage feel freer and more secure in their roles with a confident, professional presenter to lean on.
It will be wonderful to meet in person again after two years of digital distance. But oh how much good we have learned these years. Not least the importance of professionally produced content. Now we are moving towards new heights.
We welcome you!
