"You get what you inspect"
During a customer trip to South Africa, a t-shirt made an impression that would stay with us forever.

"You won't get what you expect- you get what you 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩!"
The words were on a t-shirt worn by a business colleague in South Africa.
We have never forgotten the expression. Because nothing describes event planning better!
We inspect (rake) before all events we do. In Sweden and abroad. Large and small.
This means that we go to the event venue. Checking in. Testing. Measuring. Examining the ground. Looking from all angles. Talking to people and making sure everyone is on track.
We do this to:
1. ensure an authentic experience of the brand
2. to verify flows so everything works on D-Day
Here's what we can sound like when we do our research:
"Where can the buses stop?"
"Will the ground hold a tent?"
"Will the road hold for trucks?"
"Will the pillar obscure the view?"
"Are the dimensions in the drawing we received correct?"
"What do we really think about the food?"
"Does the road to the toilets need lighting?"
"Does it take 15 minutes to the restaurant as we were told?"
"Do our foreign suppliers know what Swedish expectations are?"
If we have other suppliers involved in the project, this is the time to bring them together too. So they can talk to each other (and we can all avoid 30-40-50 emails back and forth).
There really are 1000+ details to get right before an event can be a great experience.
Inspecting the site is the foundation of any event. Like a preparatory detective work in reality. To head off potential small errors before they become big problems.
